Super Bowl LI: Predictions and Analysis

The Atlanta Falcons are the hottest team in football and they will be taking on the New England Patriots who have been to the Super Bowl just a few times. It will be a good game, but who will be taking the Lombardi Trophy home from Houston tonight? We’ve got you covered!

Dylan Stagge:

It’s the best scoring offense against the “best” scoring defense in the league. The Falcons had the best offense against the second toughest schedule (on the defensive side) in the league. The Pats played the worst schedule of offenses in the league. The Patriots will play well on the offensive side, as always, but will for the first time see the effects of Gronk being out. It’s going to be a shootout, but I like the Falcons 41-35.

Jason Gandhi:

This Super Bowl will be much different than last year. In 2016, we saw Von Miller win Super Bowl MVP for wreaking havoc on Cam Newton and the entire Panthers offense. I do not think we will see a defensive player impact the game from start to finish as much as Von Miller did. It will be all offense tonight, and the pick comes in whether it will be the number one scoring offense in the Atlanta Falcons or the team that knows how to win and how to prepare in the New England Patriots. There will be explosive plays, 4th down conversions and a whole lot of offense. I like the Patriots 31-27 and Tom Brady establishes himself as the greatest quarterback in NFL history.

Dan Magers:

This is the hottest team in football taking on the most Super Bowl ready team. If this was a regular season game, I would have no problem taking Atlanta, but this team doesn’t know how to handle Super Bowl Sunday. Brady has been here many times and he knows how to handle the differences between today and the regular season. The Falcons, on the other hand, have the best offense in the league and they just came off a blowout victory against the red-hot Packers. For that reason, I’ve got the Falcons 28-24 in a nail-biter.
