College Football Week 3 Takeaways

Biggest Takeaway in the SEC

Dan: Nick Fitzgerald is one of the most underrated players in college football.

Jason: Ed Orgeron is a phenomenal recruiter. That’s where the sentence ends. He is not a good coach.

Zach: Butch Jones needs to be fired immediately as he will never lead Tennessee to an SEC East Championship.

Biggest Takeaway in the Big 10

Dan: Purdue vs Michigan will determine if either of these teams for real.

Jason: I was wrong preseason… It is a 2 team race for the Big Ten. Penn State and Ohio State.

Zach: Michigan’s quarterback struggles and failure to convert in the Red Zone will have them on the outside looking in.

Biggest Takeaway in the Pac 12

Dan: 13 carries, 184 yards, and 2 touchdowns normally is a good enough performance to get a win, but I guess Bryce Love just can’t do it all for The Cardinal.

Jason: Darnold is the best pro prospect we’ve seen since Jameis.

Zach: Josh Rosen is not nearly enough for UCLA to legitimately compete in the Pac 12.

Biggest Takeaway in the ACC (+Notre Dame)

Dan: If Notre Dame can figure out how to throw the ball and get EQ involved, then they will be dangerous.

Jason: Lamar Jackson is a good passer but a GREAT runner. That’s his strength and weakness

Zach: Clemson is far and away the best ACC team and the ACC’s only real threat to make the College Football Playoff.

Biggest Takeaway in the Big 12

Dan: Oklahoma State has the best passing attack in the nation. Mason Rudolph is on the rise not just in the Heisman race but with his draft stock also.

Jason: Tom Herman is still the right guy for this job.. it’s a process. Remember that Longhorn fans.

Zach: Texas is almost back…or was it a fluke? We will see throughout the next four weeks.
